Sony PSVita owners are finally getting the reward they deserve and just in time for the holiday season. Sony has just settled a suit with the FTC about misleading consumers over some of the functions of their handheld device. Some of which stated that, much like the Wii U and the game pad, the PSVita would allow gamers to play games on a PS3 system and pick them up on the handheld system without losing their place, this was of course inaccurate as that feature is only available for a small selection of titles. They also stated that the PSVita would allow players to engage in "live multiplayer" which was also not an actual system feature. The company behind the original advertisements, Deutsch LA, also encouraged their employees to promote the product on social media sites without revealing the affiliation between the company and Sony. All in all, this is a step in the right direction for consumers, but a shame that this happened. Sony will be offering a 25$ refund or a 50$ coupon towards other PSVita titles to consumers who purchased the product on false pretense as well as dropping the claims moving forward.
