It's no secret that the Dragon Ball series is on a roll and it looks like we're getting another new title. Previews in Japan's V Jump magazine, a new title from Bandai Games, Dragon Ball: Project Fusion, has been confirmed for the 3DS with a 2016 release window in Japan. If that's not awesome news, it looks like the image above will show a fusion between Goku and the legendary saiyan Broly in the game as well! There's a bigger image from the magazine below but get excited as we hear more news about this tentatively titled game as the year progresses.
The U.S. and European versions of the JRPG sequel to Fire Emblem: Awakening, Fire Emblem Fates, is receiving a change in dialogue that stirred a lot of controversy in Japan when it was released last year. The line in question dealt with a female character that was a possible romance option for the player. The scenario has players interacting with female npc Soleil, a female character attracted to the same sex. If your main character was a male, there was an option to give Soleil a powder that tricks her for a time into see men as women and women as men. When this wears off, the characters states that she fell in love with the female version of the main character and will propose to him. This immediately lead to players being upset, calling it a form of conversion therapy as well and in an announcement this morning courtesy of Nintendo World Report, Nintendo stated that there will be "no expression which might be considered as gay conversion or drugging" in the localized version. Nintendo has yet to reveal how the removal of the dialogue will effect the interaction with Soleil and if she will remain a romance option for the protagonist.
Episode 7 is still making it's impressive run in theaters across the globe and all eyes are on the sequel but it looks like a shakeup in scheduling sent the internet into a frenzy this week when Disney announced a delay for Star Wars episode 8. The upcoming sequel, led by new director Rian Johnson, has been pushed back from it's original release date of May 26th, 2017 to December 15th, 2017. While not a big move, it seems like the best one considering how successful The Force Awakens has been over the holiday season obliterating records and the first of a series of spin off films, Star Wars: Rogue One is also set for another December release coming this December 16th, 2016. In it's former place, the next installment in the Pirate franchise, Pirates of The Carribean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, is taking it's beginning of the summer slot. In all honesty, Pirates feels a lot more like a summer blockbuster than Star Wars does so I'm glad for the move and a little time might be good to perfect the film that's script made JJ Abrams regret not sitting behind the directors chair for a second film.
